About this Land

This 5 acre property sits on the shores of Lake Iliamna and provides access to some of the top of the line hunting and fishing. Please take the time before you read any further to understand this property is in a remote portion of rural Alaska: The Last Frontier, The Wild Wild West. There will be no nearby market, 7-11, Gas station, Liquor store, and no beauty salon. There are animals here that can ruin your day quite quickly if you are not prepared with the right equipment and that includes high powered rifles, handguns, and knives. Your neighbors will be caribou, moose, and bears. You are not going to drive there in a Toyota Prius. You can build a cabin over time with the timber on the land if you wish or bring in building supplies over time.

Lake Iliamna, an outdoor paradise is the largest lake in all of Alaska and the third largest lake in the United States. Lake Iliamna is 77 miles long and up to 22 miles wide with a maximum depth of nearly 1,000 feet. The lake is famous for its sport fishing, mainly for trout, salmon and grayling. August through September is trout season, with many exceeding 28 inches. The lake is the largest red salmon run in the world, many of the red salmon spend half of their 5 year life span in fresh water. You can fish from the property and try your hand at catching the elusive Iliamna Monster Fish, supposedly an enormous white sturgeon or possibly a Pacific Sleeper Shark (please refer to 2012 YouTube video) to draw your own conclusions. There are numerous hunting and fishing lodges along the shores. This is a rare property, for as large as the lake is, there are not a lot of properties available, especially along the shores. The area surrounding the lake is famous for trophy brown bear, black bear, grizzly bear, moose, and dall sheep.

Access to the property is typically air taxi or boat. While it may be possible to access the property by land, we do not have any navigation or directions available. Please reference the plat map for specific lot lines, the images provided are general information and not precise enough to rely on for building. There are no utilities to the property, as is the case with nearly all Alaska property outside city limits. There are no time limits to build your cabin.

There are currently no property taxes on the property.
