Approximately three miles upstream from the land is the Iron Gate Reservoir and one of California's State Fish Hatcheries. Further upstream, about 9 miles, is Copco Lake. Iron Gate Reservoir, Copco lakes and the Klamath River offer tremendous Trout and Salmon fishing. Wildlife abounds in this area with deer sometimes more common than people.
